INSET Training Days
INSET training days are an excellent way of bringing all of your staff together for
- professional skills training
- team building
- reflecting on the objectives and strategy for your Early Years setting
Our course is tailored to meet your specific needs. We are able to offer these on-site, or off-site and on days and at times that suit your schedule - which includes training opportunities at weekends.
The WWO INSET day can be run jointly with another local setting, to share costs, and each booking includes a FREE set of WWO classroom support materials and a resource folder.
The Working With Others approach and courses are based on developing and encouraging positive peer relationships, group learning, social skills, mutual and self-respect. We introduce the principles behind WWO, and with practical games and activities throughout the session:
- bring your staff team together
- provide a deeper and shared understanding of how children learn to get on with each other through fundamental social skills
- ensure a core understanding of some of the basic principles, such as
* making sure children all know and use each other’s names
* how to ensure turn taking and sharing - explain how you can teach children to be more independent and support each other
- provide practical ideas and strategies for teaching all children in your setting so that they are happier, settled, confident and able to grow and develop
At the end of the day you will have a shared action plan, created by your team, which identifies next steps for your setting and a plan of action for taking ideas forward with your children.
