Skills and Strategies for Childminders
Working With Others is a practical approach to helping children get on with each other and learn together. It can also be used to enable childminders develop and maintain professional relationships with parents, carers and colleagues in the early years sector.
This is a new one day practical course, suitable for Childminders and those working with mixed age range children.

At the end of this day you will have lots of ideas to improve your day to day activities and rating with OFSTED - and the skills and opportunity for reflective practice will move you towards a higher level of qualification. The day will include lots of games and activities to try out and resources to take away and use.
Through practical activities, small group work and reflection the training will help you to:
- learn practical strategies for meeting the emotional and social needs of a mixed age range of children
- explore a range of techniques for encouraging positive, inclusive relationships between the children in your care
- develop and extend your understanding of the core skills that children need for playing, learning and being together
- gain new ideas for setting up and maintaining positive and professional relationships with parents
- learn how to liaise with colleagues across the Early Years sector.
Suitable for Childminders and Early Years practitioners working with mixed age group children.
Training includes: WWO resources, activity pack and follow up notes.
Delivered by: Cathy Ota, the original co-developer of Working With Others, and Deborah Price, experienced childcare trainer of the EYPS programme and ex-Ofsted inspector.
