Primary

Since 2004, our team has worked with over 200 Primary Schools across East and West Sussex, Brighton & Hove and it is in the Primary sector where we have seen some of our most remarkable transformations take place.

Working With Others is a practical approach to building positive relationships among the whole class group.  It focuses on developing trust and communication skills in the classroom and also supports planning for effective group work in the curriculum.

Through a pre- and de-briefing structure, children develop their own strategies for learning and also understand how to respect and value each other. By improving communication skills we enhance self-esteem and pupil confidence, so that children can take responsibility for themselves and each other and improve their learning and relationships with peers.

When equipped with these essential life skills, children can work more productively and effectively together and can support each other’s learning instead of always asking the adult. When this happens, teachers can spend more time teaching and observing children working together and less time on behaviour management and ‘crowd control’.

Through Working With Others many teachers have rediscovered their original enthusiasm for teaching and Head Teachers have seen positive improvements to teamwork across the whole school.

For individual primary schools we recommend either our WWO Essentials Course and Embedding training package, and for those that form part of a larger locality group, we can also offer more Network related activities that enable local schools to meet together on a more regular basis.
