The Working With Others information and products for sale on this website are for schools, colleges, teachers and practitioners in the UK.
The information we provide may not be relevant to the teaching practices in other countries. The prices we quote for the Classroom Support Materials are relevant to the UK only.
Cathy Ota makes no claims about any product transported from the UK, or used in other countries where issues relating to product safety and use in the classroom may differ from the UK.
We can only accept orders via the web site from the UK and for goods to be delivered within the UK.
International orders can be placed by telephone, e-mail or fax, but only on the understanding that the purchaser and/or user are entirely responsible for abiding by the laws of the country in which the materials are used in.
Payment is in Pounds Sterling.

All information on this website is an invitation to treat only and is not an offer or unilateral contract. We are not obliged to sell anything.
We will treat submitted orders simply as an offer to purchase products. It will not be binding on us until we confirm that the order has been accepted.
Cathy Ota shall not be obliged to sell any product shown on the website that is no longer available or is incorrectly priced or described.
Prices and Taxes
The prices of any products stated on this web site are exclusive of Value Added Tax, unless indicated otherwise.
Although we try to ensure that all prices are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of your order, we will notify you as soon as possible. You will have the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling. If we are unable to contact you we will refund you in full. We reserve the right to change our prices without notice.
Data Protection
The contact details that you provide via the Working With Others web site will only be shared with the database of Cathy Ota and will not be shared with or sold to any other private or public organisation.

It is not permissible to use tools or other methods for the purpose of data gathering, mining or extraction by any means without the written permission of Cathy Ota.

By placing an order on the website, you accept the Cathy Ota Terms and Conditions and will be subject to those in force at the time of your order. If for any reason any of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid, void or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition shall not be affected.
Governing Law
Our terms and conditions, and all other disclaimers and materials on our website, are governed by English law and any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts, to which both parties submit.
Purchasing Classroom Materials
Ordering On-Line
- Click on the ‘Shop’ and follow the on screen instructions for placing an order.
- On completion of your order, click on the 'Complete order' button.
- Prior to Completing Your Order you will be asked to check a box and agree to our Terms and Conditions.
- When you click ‘Complete Order’, an automatic e-mail will be sent to your designated e-mail address to confirm the electronic receipt of your order.
- Schools and Organisations – after receiving your on-line order, Cathy Ota will create and forward an invoice for payment. Goods will be despatched as indicated below.
- Individuals – your automated acknowledgement should be printed out and sent, with a cheque (made payable to "Cathy Ota") for the total price + VAT, post and packaging, to 31 Vale Raod, Portslade, Brighton BN41 1GD. Goods will be despatched as indicated below on clearance of the payment.
- The additional charges for VAT and Postage & Packing will be displayed as an additional item of expense when you complete your purchase.
- Goods will be despatched by UK Second Class surface mail within 10 working days.
- An e-mail will be sent to your designated e-mail address to confirm despatch of your order.
Returns Policy
Force majeure
Where there is a delay or failure to deliver goods, or where damage or defect has occurred to goods that is due to circumstances beyond our control, Cathy Ota will not be liable. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Unwanted Goods
- Please note that if you are buying within the United Kingdom other than in the course of, or for the purpose of, a business, you have the right to cancel your order for any materials under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. These regulations provide a minimum level of statutory protection for distance selling transactions. Your statutory right to cancel commences at the time that you place your order with us and ends on the expiry of seven clear working days after delivery provided that by the time of delivery we have provided you with confirmation of your right to cancel in written and durable form. For the purpose of the Regulations, our e-mail confirming acceptance of your order will constitute such confirmation of your rights.
- These regulations do not apply to transactions in the course, or for the purposes, of a business.
- Cathy Ota must be notified of unwanted goods immediately on receipt, which will be taken as being 2 working days after despatch by UK Second Class surface post.
- All unwanted items and all original packaging must be returned to: Cathy Ota, 31 Vale Road, Portslade, Brighton BN41 1GD, within 10 working days of receipt.
- An e-mail will be sent to your designated e-mail address, to acknowledge the receipt of the return.
- A full refund (including initial packaging and postage costs) will be made for all returned items that have not been opened, damaged, defaced or marked.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
- Cathy Ota must be informed of faulty or damaged goods immediately upon receipt.
- Goods and all original packaging must be returned to: Cathy Ota, 31 Vale Road, Portslade, Brighton BN41 1GD, within 10 working days of receipt.
- An e-mail will be sent to your designated e-mail address, to acknowledge the receipt of the return.
- Replacement items will be despatched within 10 working days of the receipt of the returns and an e-mail advising you of the despatch will be sent to your designated e-mail address to confirm this.
- In situations where direct replacement is not possible Cathy Ota will either offer alternative products or a full refund for the original cost of the material, and related postage and packaging.
