WWO Courses
There are several, readily accessible and affordable ways in which you can introduce and embed WWO practices into your school – either with small groups of staff or as a whole school, or school network.
Previously offered as an annual membership via the University of Brighton, Working With Others is now available in a much more flexible range of individual packages, specifically tailored to the needs of staff, a school or a school network.
Cathy Ota co-founder of the Working With Others approach, is now personally providing the ongoing support and training, under an exclusive license from the University of Brighton, and brings her own unique insight and experience to the sessions.
The three levels of courses work in combination to present a step-by-step introduction to the WWO programme and each can be specifically tailored to meet the needs and timetable of your school and situation.
WWO - Taster
An ideal INSET day opportunity for staff and schools to gain practical tips and a general introduction to the ideas and principles behind Working With Others. Run throughout the academic year, with ongoing mentoring, this is an excellent way for teachers and teaching assistants to develop WWO expertise. A supportive and transforming process, under-pinned by sound educational principles and practice.
WWO - Essentials
A course run throughout the academic year that introduces teachers and teaching assistants to the core principles and skills of Working With Others. Ideal for new staff joining WWO trained schools and for schools wanting to introduce WWO.
WWO – Embedding
For WWO experienced schools wanting to roll the approach out to more of their staff including teachers, teaching assistants, mid-day meal supervisors. The embedding programme can also be extended to include parents and other schools within a family group.
