Benefits of WWO
The WWO approach is a genuine collaboration with schools and practitioners.
Our focus is the teacher and their relationship with their class and by offering practical reflective strategies we help to build trust, communication and problem solving skills among pupils, who then engage more in their own learning as well as take responsibility for each other.
The greatest changes occur however when WWO is applied across whole schools. Here, the impact takes place at both pupil and staff team levels.
Practitioners are helped to identify and reflect on the challenges they face and to and find practical and realistic ways forward.
Staff teams including Teaching Assistants and Midday Meal Supervisors become more inclusive and reflective in how they work together.
An Accreditation Programme will be launched by the University of Brighton in the academic year 2008/09 for all school staff who have been through initial WWO training and continue to use the WWO approach. Credits will lead to Masters Accreditation, or Diploma.
